I looks like the upcoming Spike Mendelsohn restaurant might just be taking over the recently-shuttered bi-level Numa Sushi Bar (shuttered on January 15), and turning it into a Good Stuff Eatery. Mike Klein thinks that 108 S. 18th Street is the definite landing spot since Walnut Street prices are just too high for the burger set.
While the lease there is one possibility, it's not a done deal. The opening of the establishment is set for "three or four months." The restaurant is in a seriously-high foot traffic area with heavy hitters like Di Bruno Bros. and Continental Mid-Town.
Stay tuned.
