Rich Landau and Kate Jacoby have been the talk of the vegan universe since they opened Vedge. But now, they've scored a big crossover hit with the debut of their line of sauces that just debuted at Williams-Sonoma. There are three, including a BBQ sauce, a tamari sesame sauce, and a sherry shallot glaze.
Of course they're supposed to be used on veggies, but it probably works on big ol' cuts of meat, too. Just don't tell Rich and Kate what you're using them for, or fear the wrath of the vegan police. They're each selling for around $15, and are shipped via UPS. If you need to have them like, right now, add an additional $15 for a rush order. Or, you could just visit the store at Broad and Walnut streets.
