The brand new Metropolitan Cafe is opening up shop next to stalwart Metropolitan Bakery at 264 S. 19th St. in Rittenhouse Square. In addition to coffee and breads, the cafe will offer up an extensive menu of sandwiches, soups, salads, bagels with housemade cream cheese, as well as a host of hot food options. Foobooz is reporting that the cafe is open for coffee, but not much else yet. [The Insider, Foobooz]
