On Monday, November 25, beginning at 5 p.m., chef Jasper Alivia and food writer Drew Lazor are co-hosting a pop-up at Cuba Libre to benefit the relief effort of the Red Cross in the Philippines.
The four-course Filipino dinner is going for just $35, though of course they'll accept donations above that amount if you can spare it. Alivia and Lazor are brainstorming a menu that will include a variety of Filipino finger-foods to share, oxtail soup, a choice of entrees and desserts including key lime tartlets. Call the restaurant directly at 215-627-0666 if you want to reserve a spot.
