FISHTOWN — Each Thursday, Cedar Point Bar and Kitchen has been putting on special menus centered around a single ingredient. This time around they let their fans pick the ingredient, so of course the item of the week is bacon. On the menu this Thursday, December 12: Vegan bacon with green tomato jalapeno chutney, gumbo with pork belly and shrimp, Texas Tommie sliders with bacon wrapped pineapple, and peanut bacon brittle. All month, CPBK is also hosting a food drive for Philabundance, so bring some non-perishables with you when you head up to check it out. [EaterWire]

PHILADELPHIA/AC — Zagat Philly reports that all this month, every Jose Garces restaurant is serving a different take on chocolate cake, with all the proceeds going to the Garces Foundation, which helps connect Philly's immigrant community to needed medical, educational, and nutritional services. Pay them a visit to find out what's being served at each location. [Zagat]

SOUTH STREETPercy Street Barbecue will host their annual Beer Can Christmas Tree Lighting tomorrow, December 12. The party kicks off with happy hour from 5 to 6 p.m., with drink specials including half-price Mad Elf. The tree will be lit at 7 p.m. [EaterWire]
