Today the Insider has word on the new chef heading up the kitchen at Stateside. Their new executive chef is Kevin D'Egidio, who you might know from his recent time at Will BYOB. His resume also includes Tangerine, The Pass, and Lacroix.
The East Passyunk whiskey bar and restaurant racked up plenty of praise under opening chef George Sabatino, and continued to receive positive feedback under chef Elijah Milligan, who took over from Sabatino in March. Milligan lost his job in October following an arrest related to a confusing domestic situation (the charges have since been dismissed, according to Michael Klein's report.)
The Insider also gives a taste of some new dishes D'Egidio has introduced to the menu, including a banh mi pork terrine and sausage-stuffed whole quail.
