Sancho Pistola's Coming to Fishtown

Bubba's Texas BBQ, which opened in Fishtown the same week that Brooklyn barbecue import Fette Sau opened its doors, had a brief run (but managed to spawn a Food Network show nonetheless). Now, that space at 19 W. Girard Ave. has been snapped up by the Jose Pistola's team, reports Michael Klein.

The new restaurant will be called Sancho Pistola's, and will have a menu similar to Jose's, but expanded to include a raw bar and more entrees to round out the a la carte options. Chef Adan Trinidad, whose work at Jose's recently received a rave from critic Adam Erace, will head up the Sancho's kitchen as well. Opening day is currently projected for "a week before the Super Bowl."
