Well, that was quick: on Monday, Passyunk Post reported on a tapas bar called Torero that would replace El Costeno in the Italian Market, but details were still trickling in and opening day was said to be coming "in the next few weeks."
And then Zagat Philly came out today with the full story on Torero, complete with menus and photos of a space that is very much open for business.
Zagat reports the new spot specializes in tapas and pintxos, with a daily happy hour, brunch dishes served all day, and promises to keep the kitchen open late on the weekends. Check out the post for plenty more details on the chef and concept, plus the full menu, which is expansive.
