Bacon and Beer Festival Adds an After Party

A Bacon and Beer Festival is probably the no-brainer to end all no-brainers, so it's no surprise that this weekend's Philadelphia edition sold out in no time. But if you missed out on tickets to the main event, you can still get into the after party at Stratus Lounge. Tickets cost $25, including healthy doses of the namesake food and drink, plus the opportunity to mingle in a more relaxed setting with the brewers and chefs contributing to the event. Better yet, all the proceeds (from the party and the main fest alike) are earmarked for Manna.

Bacon-laced treats for the after party will be provided by Sweetbox Cupcakes and NJ-based competition barbecue team Ribs Within. The ticket price includes two drink tickets, which you can exchange for drafts or cocktails featuring — well, it seems almost silly to say. Three beer cocktails and three cocktails built on bacon bourbon will be on offer (including one called "Bacon & Eggs" and one with a kick from bitters and Tabasco; they'll all continue to be available for just $5 for the after-after party). The event will go down at Stratus this Sunday, December 8, from 6 to 8 p.m.
