Kabobeesh Opens Second Location

Photo: Passyunk Post

Kabobeesh, the popular Pakistani kebab joint in West Philly, has expanded with a second location just off South Street. They officially opened their doors on Friday, and Passyunk Post was there to get pictures and details. The room you see above, despite looking a little like someone's suburban finished basement, is actually the upstairs space earmarked for a hookah lounge.

The new location is BYOB, and if you've been to the original one, you'll find the menu familiar. For the most part it tops out around $12, with the exception of a few specialties that you'll want to order well ahead (one takes about an hour from the time you order it) and that feed a couple of people. Sandwiches range from about $5-$8; vegetarian meal sets are mostly around $9, add a couple of bucks for meatier choices. Most menu items can also be bought by the side/half-order, which is nice if you're after variety without resorting to a buffet or facing a ton of leftovers.
