A Look Inside the Center City Outpost of Potito's Bakery

Potito's Bakery has been a big part of South Philly for 25 years, and they just cut the ribbon on their Center City shop at 1314 Walnut Street. Owners Matthew and Cristina Bonigno are still doing all the baking in South Philly, but have the full line of breads, cakes, and baked goods available at the Center City shop. Their specialty, though, are those ridiculously huge cannolis, and we're happy to report that they've made the trip, as well. For you brides-to-be, Potitos offers custom wedding cake design, as well.

There is a service bar area, too, and seating, so if you're looking to grab a quiet cappuccino during the work day, this is the place. The building was Naked Chocolate for quite some time, and then Philly Chocolate for about a week or two. Considering their long history on Ritner Street, though, means the Bonignos will probably be around for awhile.
