Micheline Mendelsohn, manager of Top Chef Spike Mendelsohn, told Eater that Spike is in fact taking over the former Numa sushi restaurant at 108 S. 18th Street, and turning it into a Good Stuff Eatery. Rumors were flying around about where The Fedora would actually be landing in Philly, but all he would say was "Walnut Street," in a recent interview with the mothership. While it isn't officially Walnut Street (it's actually between Sansom and Chestnut), it's close enough.
This announcement has been a long time coming, as Spike flirted with Philly a few years ago before killing the deal. But, now, all is right with his world, and we will be getting our very own Good Stuff Eatery later this year.
