Nick Farina, owner of Verdad in Bryn Mawr, is planning to open his very own food truck—called The Verdad Taco Truck—out in the suburbs. Farina is currently developing a menu of tacos and his signature Euro-Latin fusion cuisine that will make up the menu for the new mobile muncher.
Farina decided to gather finances for the Verdad Truck through the public funding site Lucky Ant (it happens to be on the front page right now), so fans will have the opportunity to be a part of the process and get that truck on the road even sooner. There are many incremental levels of contribution for the project, all of which get you some kind of gift in return. So, even if you've only got $10 to give, you'll receive a $20 gift certificate for food from the truck once she launches. But, if you're exceptionally generous with a $2,000 contribution, you'll be granted free tacos for life and atherosclerosis.
