Often cited as Philly's best roast pork and cheesesteak, the food coming out of John's Roast Pork will soon be available at Mick Daniel's, located at 2nd Street and Snyder Avenue. The big complaint about John's is their limited hours of operation, which usually restricts many would-be patrons that aren't local, and don't get long lunch hours.
As of March 17, John Bucci's famous roast pork, cheesesteaks (Philly.com's Michael Klein said that they're not making the trip west, but the sausage sandwich is), and meatball sandwiches will be available at Mick's after John's shuts down for the day. Bucci, who recently returned to work the grill after a long battle with cancer, struck the deal with the Adams family who owns The Saloon, and is a longtime customer of John's. This is some great news after the recent announcement of the shutter of the Ugly American.
