Last summer, fire tore through South Street landmark Lorenzo & Sons pizza shop, and the destruction led many to believe that the Lorenzo's crew had served their last underdone slice. All jokes aside, Lorenzo's was where everyone ended up after a concert let out from the TLA from 1988 until its untimely demise last year, with lines being especially long after Cypress Hill and Snoop were headlining.
The Insider is reporting that Lorenzo's has not called it quits, and is actually looking to re-open sometime during the first week of April, which is a small miracle. The massive, sloppy, slices will be as large as always when owner Giuseppe Pulizzi re-opens his counter to the public. And if one ever wondered what sign would predict the impending apocalypse, it is this: Pulizzi is considering adding toppings to the menu.
