The Dolphin Re-Opens For Business on March 20

New, 7 comments

The Dolphin shut down suddenly last August, bringing sad faces to everyone that frequented Philly's favorite dive-y titty bar on South Broad Street. A few weeks later, Avram Hornik stepped in and announced he would re-open the Dolphin in the near future.

Today, Eater has learned that The Dolphin will re-open for business on March 20 under Hornik's watch, and head bartender/South Philly stud Matt Summers (The POPE, Kraftwork).

The Dolphin will continue to employ lovely dancers, the beer list will be top notch, but there will be no food at the outset of the comeback (but you can bring your own). The pool tables have been removed, and a massive sound system has been installed. Rumor has it that there might be a menu in the near future, but not right away.

Either way, this is fantastic news. See you all there on March 20.
