It's a known fact that Aziz Ansari—the actor who plays lovable swag-machine Tom Haverford on NBC's Parks and Recreation—is a gourmand and amateur chef, but last night he let the world know which chef he likes to borrow recipes from: Marc Vetri.
I also made this @MarcVetri Braised Monkfish recipe recently that was amazing. Really going niche here with these tweets. Sorry.— Aziz Ansari (@azizansari) March 7, 2013
Of course, Ansari is probably best-known for his ad-libbed talking head segment on Parks and Recreation, where he gave his own monikers to foods that are way too boring without a little glitter (i.e. eggs are called "pre-birds," noodles are "long-ass rice"). So, it's a good bet that Ansari did a great job with Vetri's monkfish, but Haverford surely called it the "Pious Pisces."
