Everyone in Philly was pretty darned shocked when chef Johnny Mac announced he was leaving Pub & Kitchen, the restaurant he made famous that earned tons of critical praise both locally and nationally. P&K regulars shouldn't worry, though, as owner Ed Hackett managed to convince talented Daniel Boulud lieutenant Eli Collins to fill Mac's kitchen clogs, and the early reports are coming back strong.

Collins' menu is filled with lots of pub classics like the previous incarnation of P&K, but there are a handful of more elegant and sophisticated offerings, like uni and crab toast, white garlic soup, and young lettuce with rhubarb and sunflower seeds. Of course, P&K wouldn't be complete without a signature burger, and you can bet that's still the case with Collins at the helm.
