Munish Narula, the brains behind Philly's Indian restaurant empire, told Eater that his latest restaurant, Tiffin Bistro, will open on May 31 at 1100 Federal Street. Taking over former restaurant Kris, Narula said that the space was in good shape and he wouldn't be doing too much to the interior before opening.
"The menu is almost done, and it's going to be amazing," Narula said. "We'll release it soon, but I am very pleased with where it's going."
Tiffin Bistro will fill the price point between his delivery spots and the stunningly beautiful high-end eatery Tashan, which has been a big critical hit, but requires a serious wallet commitment. More importantly, Tiffin Bistro will bring delivery to a neighborhood that is filled with young food fans and no options for Indian cuisine. Stay tuned.
