Adam Ritter, proprietor of The Sidecar and Kraftwork, is opening a pizza shop/bakery at 2204 Washington Avenue called Kermit's Bake Shoppe. Kermit's will focus on take out and delivery pizza, so Ritter is going with the thicker crusted American-style pie, as opposed to the thinner, wood-fired versions that don't travel well. There will also be soups and salads joining the pizza on the savory side of the menu. During lunch and dinner hour, pizza slices will be available in addition to the whole pies.

On the sweet side, Kermit's will be turning out classic American baked goods like sticky buns, cookies, cakes, and freshly-made bread.

Former Next Great Baker contestant Chad Durkin is developing the recipes and will be executing the day-to-day baking duties for Ritter's new endeavor, which should open in the next four weeks.
