Last week, restaurateur Nancy Law announced that there would be free food for any diners who ate Al Fresco at her restaurant, SoWe, the first day temperatures rose above 70 degrees. Well, Law kept her promise, and there is a free lunch in store for anyone who stops by 918 S. 22nd Street between noon and 2 p.m. today.
New chef Jennifer Choplin has overhauled the menu, and the free food today is limited to burgers and sandwiches. But, they're not miniscule one-bite plates. Expect a beasty crab cake, pork belly, and even a mile-high vegetarian Reuben as part of the dealage today.
