Owner Nabin Chhantyal and Chef Jagmeet "Happy" Singh have taken over the famous 401 Diner in Conshohocken and have completely overhauled the concept. Instead of diner food all day, the 401 Nirvana (as it is now known) will offer up traditional fare during the breakfast and lunch rush and switch to Indian cuisine when it gets dark. And, don't expect the food at Nirvana to be the same traditional dishes that we're used to in the U.S., the chef and owner have a clear vision of making this effort a true modern take on Indian food.

Jagmeet has a history in the local food scene, as he was the brilliant mind behind the fantastic food at Spice Kitchen in Trooper, PA, and, Chhantyal ran the show at Aman's Indian Cuisine in East Norriton. While the 401 has changed hands many times in the last couple years, let's hope this crew will make it work on Fayette Street.
