Chef Steve Eckerd has been tapped to run the kitchen at the newly resurrected Mainland Inn, which closed its doors in 2010. Eckerd was the last chef in charge of Le Bec Fin's famous kitchen before they decided to close for good and rebrand with Justin Bogle at the helm. Eckerd will bring his hyper-seasonal sensibilities to the Harleyville establishment, which looks to open up this fall. [EaterWire]
