Philly police released a frightening video today of a hooded man shooting up the Purple Orchid, a Southwest Philly strip joint located at 3275 South 61st Street. Apparently, patron Henry Pettigrew had a dust up with the bouncers and management at the club before being removed from the premises. He then proceeded to retrieve an AK-47 from his car and fire shots into another automobile in the parking lot before going back into the establishment and squeezing off a few more rounds, which hit someone in the club.
The two men are described as follows: Pettigrew is a black male, 5'11", 180 pounds with a thin beard. The other man has not been identifed, but is a black male around 20-25 years-of-age, 5'10?, medium build and a goatee. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket over a plaid button shirt, tan cargo shorts and tan boots. They were driving a light colored sedan, possibly a Hyundai or Mitsubishi.
If you have any information on these two men, please call Detective Maurizio in the Southwest Detectives division at 215-686-3183 or 215-686-3184. Please, do not approach the assailants if you see them, as they are obviously heavily armed. The full video can be seen below.
