Chef Joncarl Lachman has long dreamt of coming back to his hometown of Philadelphia to open his very own restaurant. Lachman has had a very successful run in Chicago with his super-popular Home Bistro, which was modeled after the BYOBs of Philly, and today he cuts the ribbon on his first local restaurant, Noord.
Lachman specializes in Northern European cuisine, most notably the food of Norway and the Dutch, and that's what diners can expect at Noord. The menu is full of cured and smoked shellfish, rotisserie chicken, toast courses, and snacks like head-on prawns.
