Peking Duck Banh Mi Joins Philly Sandwich Register

The Banh Mi has been a staple of the Philly sandwich scene for years, with dedicated fans citing the best examples served up by QT Vietnamese, Cafe Nhu Y, and Ba Le on Washington Avenue. Today, Wayne Trang's shiny new restaurant, Mi Dac Ky, boasts a mashup hoagie taking the very best from Chinese and Vietnamese cuisines: The Peking Duck Banh Mi.

Located at the New World Plaza on 6th and Washington, Mi Dac Ky is selling the sandwich for a recession special $4.95. The elements of the sandwich include Peking duck, housemade duck liver pate, cucumber, carrots, jalapeños and cilantro stuffed into a crusty French baguette. And Trang is offering the sandwich throughout the day, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m.
