Zahav's super-popular annual summertime jam, Down the Shore, is descending upon Philly's favorite new outdoor space, Morgan's Pier, for 2013. On July 1, chef Mike Solo & Co. are taking over Avram Hornik's waterfront eatery with a disco-esque Studio 54 vibe, complete with 70's dance music from a Klezmer band who will be dressed to the nines in their polyester best.
Tickets for the event are $85 per person, which includes all you-can-eat food and bottomless beer and sangria. And, of course, lots of great music from the West Philly Orchestra.
As is customary with Down the Shore from years past, Solo has invited some of his cheffy friends to cook for the crowd, and this year's roster includes: Terence Feury of Tavro 13; Nick Macri of Southwark; Top Chef Jen Carroll; Lucio Palazzo of La Calaca Feliz; John Taus of The Corner; Peter Woolsey of Bistrot La Minette; Erin O'Shea of Percy Street; and David Katz of Creekstone Farms.
