It looks like Friday, June 21 is the debut for Serpico, the long-awaited South Street collabo-resto from chef Peter Serpico and restaurateur Stephen Starr.

The hints from Starr himself along with the fact that Friends & Family is going down tonight both point to a ribbon-cutting happening sometime soon. What cinched it, though, was a listing for the restaurant that suddenly popped up on OpenTable, which announced the first date they were accepting reservations from the public: Friday, June 21.

As of now, we don't have Chef Serpico's menu or any looks inside the space (although Hop Sing Laundromat proprietor Lee—who is known for his obsessive dedication to design and decor—has already praised the space as "ridiculously beautiful"), but there are plenty of available reservations for opening night that will surely fill up fast, so get clicking.

Bear in mind that no one at Starr Restaurants has confirmed the big launch just yet, but it looks like the stars have aligned to make it so. And there's no denying that this is the biggest restaurant opening of the year, so better safe than sorry if you're trying to snag a seat. Stay tuned for updates throughout the day.
