Serpico Is Philly's Most Beautiful Restaurant

We gave you a taste of Peter Serpico and Stephen Starr's new restaurant, Serpico, earlier in the week. Today, we're happy to share a more in-depth look at the stunning design and decor of what is now Philly's most beautiful restaurant. The man responsible for the gorgeous look of Starr's latest project is Thomas Schlesser, who's resume includes DBGB, Bar Boulud, The Publican, and Blackbird.

While the food is always the main attraction of a restaurant—especially one with Serpico at the helm—the interior design is just as impressive, and brings the same 'wow' factor that the menu does. Though the design boasts plenty of right angles and lots of black, it never feels overly-masculine, thanks to warm lighting framing the industrial elements.

Serpico swings the doors open tonight at 604 South Street, but it looks like most of the reservations have been accounted for this evening. But, there's always room for walk-ins at the bar, and you might get lucky with cancellations. Either way, it's worth popping your head in to see just how high the interior design bar has been raised by a restaurateur who has been making waves in Philly for almost 20 years.
