Since Mike Solomonov and chef Yehuda Sichel left the friendly confines of Citron and Rose, talented chef Karen Nicolas—former exec chef of D.C.'s Equinox, and a 2012 Best New Chef from Food & Wine—has been running the kitchen.
Nicolas and owner David Magerman recently launched lunch service during the week at Citron & Rose, and it looks fantastic. There are plenty of lunch staples like tuna salad and chicken salad, but the menu also offers some more sophisticated dishes like salmon pastrami crudo and a lamb leg Reuben. But, that creativity and elegance doesn't come cheap, so be sure to bring your wallet.
