Artisanal ice cream purveyors across the country are scooping up more and more inventive flavors like Earl Grey Sriracha and Chorizo Caramel. Noting the trend, Bon Appetit rounded up a 10-scoop helping of their favorite weird ice cream flavors across the U.S., and Philly's own Little Baby's Ice Cream topped the list.
In addition to satisfying frozen treat lovers with its premium, small-batch product in curious combinations of flavors like sweet potato burnt marshmallow and peanut butter maple tarragon, Little Baby's is really responsible, alongside its neighbor Pizza Brain, for putting Fishtown on the map of new Philly classics.
Happily, Little Baby's has more locations than ever open just in time for the July heat wave: the original HQ in Fishtown, the two-month-old Cedar Park location, an ice cream stand inside Union Transfer and at Garden Variety in Northern Liberties, and a stationary tricycle stopped at Morgan's Pier. You can also pick up a Little Baby's pint at any of the creamery's 12 stockists. Congrats to our very favorite Philly brand that promises to always keep things delicious and weird.
