It's time to celebrate short stacks, scrapple, and Shit On A Shingle: That's right, Greasy Spoons Week is finally here. All week long we'll be celebrating the diners and greasy spoons that have anchored Philadelphia's food scene long before Georges Perrier and Stephen Starr showed up. And even though each and every neighborhood has their go-to diner, all of them have pretty much the same menu.

So, settle in, grab a paper, and let us warm you up with a refill, hon. We're going to celebrate the best Philly greasy spoons with maps, menus, stories, and specials all week.

To kick things off, we're going to do a little crowd-sourcing. So, in the comments below, please list your very favorite diner, and if possible, your favorite waitress and dish that they serve better than anyone else in town. At the end of the week, we'll round 'em up and have a big vote to decide who's the best once and for all.
