There's a fantastic piece on Philly's favorite son, chef Michael Solomonov, in this months Philly Mag. Luckily, there's a copy of the whole thing on their website, and it's an absolute must-read. In it, Solomonov discusses how the sudden death of his brother turned him on to the kitchen, sent him on a path littered with drugs and alcohol, and how he bounced back to become the biggest culinary star in a city full of young and talented chefs. Powerful stuff, indeed. [Philly Mag]
