It's finally here. Two years ago, we first got wind of an impending move for Philly's favorite bakery, Artisan Boulanger Patissier, who had been working out of 1646 S. 12th Street for 21 years. Today, owners Andre Chin and Amanda Eap opened the doors of the new Artisan Boulanger at 1218 Mifflin Street, which is much larger than the original location and will be operating with expanded hours, too. They've hired a GM, Sean Tully, and a real deal sushi chef, Jon Loc, who is the chef at La Fusion on Oregon Avenue.
The same phenomenal breads that they've been making for two decades will still be available, of course, and theyre offering sandwiches, sushi, and all kinds of stuff for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For those of you with a big ol' sweet tooth, we're happy to report that their roster of beautiful French pastries is in tact, and will be joined by a few new friends: they've got their very own cronut and gaggle of seasonal fruit tarts and cakes.
