Ellen Yin and Eli Kulp Opening High Street on Market

Ellen Yin, the owner of highly acclaimed Old City stalwart, Fork, just announced that she's opening a new venture, High Street on Market. The new project is replacing Fork:etc. at 308 Market Street, which has had a successful existence next door to Fork for almost a decade. Yin said that they'll close up Fork:etc. this Friday, and High Street should be ready to go by mid-September.

Critical darling Eli Kulp will be the executive chef of High Street, which will feature his boundary-pushing food and sophisticated plating. High Street's menu will change quickly and spontaneously to highlight locally foraged ingredients, luxury elements, and a myriad of old school preservation techniques. More importantly, the restaurant will be open from early morning breakfast until late night snacks and drinks, and everything in between.

In the mornings, savory and sweet pastries and breakfast sandwiches will be available, and for lunch, Kulp and his crew will offer a variety of artisanal sandwiches, salads, pastas and more, all made from scratch daily. At night, family-style dishes, hand-crafted drinks, and plenty of dessert will wrap up the High Street experience. Throw in longtime front-of-the-house legend Paul Rodriguez as GM, and High Street looks to be one of the biggest Fall openings this year. Stay tuned.
