The Petruce Brothers Are Opening a Restaurant

Chef brothers Justin and Jonathan Petruce recently signed a lease to open a restaurant at 1121 Walnut Street, which is currently the Suzanne Roberts Boutique (pictured above). The name of the new spot is Petruce Et Al., and the boys hope to swing the doors open before the end of 2013. Before jumping into the restaurateur game, the Petruces worked together under David Katz at the dearly departed Mémé, and in many of Philly's best kitchens, like Little Fish and M.

The concept will be a mix of old world wood-fired cooking and new school sophistication, which will help the Petruce boys stand out from the glut of farm-to-table and locavore-focused restaurants which have saturated the food scene over the last few years. There's no specific timeline for their opening date just yet, but stay tuned. This could be one of the sleeper hits of 2013.
