Local Winners at the 2014 Good Food Awards

The Good Food Awards aim to name the best responsibly-produced, American-made foods from coffee to beer to pickles and preserves. Finalists were named in November, with the official awards given out just last week at a ceremony in San Francisco.

Among this year's winners are Downingtown-based Victory Brewing, for their Belgian farmhouse-style Helios Ale, and Fishtown's ReAnimator Coffee, for their Ethiopia Sota beans. A little farther afield, nods also went to Lancaster's Square One Coffee and Delaware-based 16 Mile Brewery. It's a pretty cool bit of national recognition, and especially impressive considering that ReAnimator is only a couple of years old. (Their first cafe, in Fishtown, opened just this past August.)
