City Tap House Logan Square Officially Replaces Public House Next Week

And not a moment too soon.

Now in friends and family mode, the new Logan Square branch of City Tap House (a rebrand of former perennial bad idea Public House) is looking to have its grand opening on Monday, November 3.

Public House shut down in July to pull off the switch. This will be this third in the CTH series, with the original in U City and another outpost in Washington D.C.

You can check out some pictures, via the Insider, of the substantial makeover. (From in-progress shots posted along the way, it looks like it was a gut job.) The new look is in keeping with the brand — kind of cavernous, fairly broody, a mix of wood and stone and industrial touches. Although this location doesn't have quite as many taps as the U City shop, the draft list will number at least 40, and there is seating for a ton. (The original aim was for over 200 seats, all told, and Michael Klein notes two areas within that will accommodate large parties.)
