2nd Story Brewing Opening This Month in Old City

Newcomer 2nd Story Brewing has announced it will open on October 21 in the former home of Triumph Brewing Co. in Old City. Head brewer John Wible started off as a home brewer just four years ago. The owner is Debbie Grady, of Pottstown's Tilted Barn Farms, who've been custom-growing hops for his brews.

They've revamped the sizable space, which seats about 200. In addition to 2nd Story's own beers, the new brewpub will feature a full bar and full food menu in the seasonal American vein. (The menu's not out yet, but sneak previews posted to their Facebook page during menu testing feature items like chili, mussels, ratatouille, and a salad of fig, arugula, blue cheese, and prosciutto).
