Knead Bagels Is Ready to Roll on Walnut Street

The 'chef-driven' bagel shop we've all been waiting for will open Wednesday morning. [Updated to add menu and hours.]

Brace for new bagel options, Washington Square: Knead is ready to go, opening tomorrow morning, November 12, at 7:30 a.m. The man behind the bagels is chef Adam Willner, previously of Matyson, who promises a lot of interesting flavor combinations (togarashi-spiced bagels with scallion-lime cream cheese was just one idea they floated during pre-opening testing) and from-scratch elements that could elevate the shop to something really special.

According to their Instagram announcement, Knead will have bagels, egg sandwiches, and Elixr coffee ready to go at opening. Eater reached out to Willner for confirmation of the full details on hours and offerings, and will update once we hear back — but for now, it sounds like you can at least be sure of dropping by for breakfast tomorrow morning.

UPDATED 11/11: Below, find the opening breakfast menu. After the November 12 opening at 7:30 p.m., regular hours will be as follows: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. until sell-out.

Willner tells us some additional menu items should be added next week, and they will roll out their lunch menu within a few weeks, once they get settled in. (Once launched, lunch will include a selection of bagel sandwiches and salads.)

Knead Bagels, 725 Walnut Street, (267)519-9920, open Wednesday, November 12 at 7:30 a.m.
