As of tonight, your Rittenhouse happy-hour options include V Street, the new cocktail bar from the owners of Vedge. Philly.com reports that the new deals launch tonight, December 1, and will run from 5 to 6 p.m., seven days a week.

The debut happy hour menu — available only at the bar — includes one beer, one wine, and one special cocktail (a curry-spiked take on a Pimm's Cup), plus a trio of new dishes. There's a crunchy tofu taco with avocado, poblano, and curtido (the sort of cabbage slaw you get with pupusas), Trinidadian doubles (curried chickpeas on fry bread), and chilled spicy noodles with pickled chiles, leeks, and "pho-spiced onion crunch."

Happy hour plates are $5 each; drink specials are $5-$6. If the happy hour at sibling Vedge is anything to go by, we'd expect the exact selections to change regularly.

The regular menu will also be available during happy hour, and has been seeing some tweaks and additions as they've settled in since their October opening. New stuff they've shared so far on Twitter includes Singapore noodles with char siu tofu and this insane-looking mezcal-spiked chocolate with horchata marshmallow.

Chef-owner Rich Landau also told Philly.com that the bar soon plans to begin serving weekday lunch, probably starting in January.
