In Los Angeles, on-demand car service app Uber recently launched their new UberFresh lunch delivery service. Today in Philly, they're delivering lunch here, too — for a good cause. Uber and Sbraga restaurant have teamed up to deliver lunch, at $10 a pop, with the total cost going directly to Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign.
The lunch delivery service will run today, December 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m., and only in Center City (i.e. from river to river, between South and Vine.
There's just one meal option, courtesy of chef Kevin Sbraga: Vadouvan chicken salad on a seeded roll, served with a minted, pickled slaw of butternut squash, cucumber, and red onion, and a brown butter snickerdoodle for dessert.
To order, select the "Lunch" option within the Uber app. Once you connect with a driver, they'll text to find out how many meals you'd like. Full details are here.
