Reading Terminal GM Paul Steinke is leaving his post at the end of this year to run for City Council, reports Philadelphia Business Journal. Steinke has held the position for 13 years and oversaw the major renovations along the market's eastern edge in 2012. He also led the charge to have the market open on Sundays, which didn't happen until 2006.
The market's board of directors expects to name Steinke's successor early in the new year, says PBJ, following a nationwide search for candidates.
