Liberties in NoLibs was around for what felt like forever, and now it is not. Starting this Friday, February 21, that space will be known as Bourbon and Branch. (No relation to this well-known SF speakeasy, either legally or in spirit.)
As you'd expect from the name, there will be whiskey. More than eighty whiskeys, available in one-ounce pours. But if it's not whiskey you're after, the press release also promises 17 drafts and "the most organic" cocktails around. To wit:
[Bar manager] Righteous Jolly looks forward to serving you his gin infused with lavender and black cardamom in his "Flaming Ricky", his "CuCuCumberKiwiBasiltiño," a martini made with cucumber, kiwi, basil and jalapeño, and many more cocktails of a satisfying and original variety.
Also happening: live music, a "burlesque brunch" on weekends, and "comfort foods that are inspired by classic European tavern fare," including a pretty extravagant selection of savory meat pies. (Blurry but ultimately legible menus can be found here.)
