Just a bit behind schedule, Petruce et al. has set an opening date of Friday, March 21, and is now accepting reservations via OpenTable.
The timing means that the restaurant will be up and running just in time for the first-ever Philly Wine Week (running March 23 through 30), and good thing: the wine program here is under the care of partner Tim Kweeder, one of our city's sharpest and most active proponents of serious wine.
This latest project from Kweeder and brothers Jonathan and Justin Petruce is built around a wood-fired oven, but while the final menu has yet to be released (Eater will share it as soon as we get our grubby paws on it), don't think pizza — at least not regularly. They gave City Paper a sneak peek last month, with a few sample dishes from a menu "broken down into small plates and vegetables, pastas, and larger cuts of meat and fish meant for sharing."
