Eli Kulp's New A.Kitchen Menu Drops Tomorrow; La Colombe Offers Hemp Milk

RITTENHOUSE — Tomorrow is the day that Eli Kulp officially overhauls the menu at a.kitchen at the AKA hotel. (The deal was announced in January for the newly formed High Street Hospitality Group that's Kulp and Fork/High Street owner Ellen Yin to partner with a.kitchen/a.bar operator David Fields.) The new menu makes good use of a newly installed charcoal grill. [Foobooz]

CENTER CITYChip Roman (Mica, Blackfish, Ela) hopes to open his new Center City project in mid-April. Called The Treemont, the new spot will be located in the Aria building on 15th Street, in the space that was home to Tietra, a place whose name was the result of a typo on some paperwork and which came and went pretty quietly. CITY HALLCity Paper Senior Editor/dude who can't digest dairy Pat Rapa finds hemp milk available at La Colombe and man is he excited about it. La Colombe, of course, is pretty famously bare-bones as far as the customization of their coffee goes — one might even say pedantic — so this new, non-dairy alternative is actually pretty big news.
