So many things, in fact, that Eater cannot quite find a satisfying way to sum up the treatise, titled "The Future of Philadelphia's Terrible Cheesesteak Tradition Is Doomed." It's a little about fast-food bastardizations of cheesesteaks, a little about suspect vegan versions, and a little about how Geno Vento has dared suggest he might try to lighten his steaks up. And it includes this line about a Subway "Philly," so we're cool: "I got mine on a freshly made 'Italian Herbs and Cheese' roll with chipotle mayo because hell is real." [Vice]
