It's time to vote for Food & Wine magazine's annual People's Best New Chef award, and it's not going to be easy: Six of the ten nominees from the Mid-Atlantic region are from Philly, and quite frankly, each choice is as good as the last.
The Philly field consists of Joe Cicala (Le Virtù and forthcoming Brigantessa), Christopher Kearse (Will), Eli Kulp (Fork, High St. on Market, a.kitchen), Kevin Sbraga (Sbraga, The Fat Ham), Peter Serpico (Serpico), and Greg Vernick (Vernick). (The criterion for "new"ness, we guess, is that they are up and coming in the consciousness of the national press.) Each chef has a brief profile up on the poll if that will somehow help you make your decision; cast your vote by next Monday, March 31.
