Elephant & Castle Finally Packs It In

British pub-themed chain restaurant Elephant & Castle shut its doors for good last week, reports the Insider. Perhaps more surprising is that British pub-themed chain restaurant Elephant & Castle kept its doors open for about two decades. It was housed in what is currently called the Sonesta, which sounds like a sedative from the dystopian future, but is actually just a hotel. The pub lacked luster on pretty much every front, and will probably be missed by some.

The search for a new restaurant to fill the now-vacant space is already underway - though, in truth, it's hard to imagine what sort of concept could be better suited to the dystopian future than a British pub-themed chain restaurant.
