Philly Beer Week doesn't start until the end of May, but you can lock down your tickets to the kick-off party now. This year's Opening Tap will be held at the 23rd Street Armory on Friday, May 30 at 7 p.m., and will feature appearances by Mayor Michael Nutter and this year's official PBW brew, Philly Tripel, a collab between Dock Street and Brouwerji Dilweyns.
Full details for the evening have yet to be announced or confirmed, but it's PBW Opening Tap, so who cares — it's always worth it. VIP tickets are going for $90 (with perks like early entry and food and all-important VIP bathrooms); general admission for $45. (Designated driver tickets are $25.)
